Miss Pole Dance UK has set the standard for competitive Pole Dance fitness since the first nationwide Pole Dance competition held on 17th May 2005. Immediately becoming a huge success on its debut selling out to a 700 capacity crowd and setting the scene for future Miss Pole Dance events worldwide.
Miss Pole Dance was created to change perception to content of pole dance and showcase the unique fitness opportunity through awe inspiring choreographed pole fitness and stunning feats of strength and agility to allow pole fitness become an accessible and accepted form of fitness and highly technical dance form, open to both amateurs and professional dancers alike.
‘Women are born with a powerful, exotic, sensuality, so often lost in today’s demanding lifestyles. Our aim is to switch impression to content. Our focus is the athletic sport-woman. Miss Pole Dance events are saying: “Woman Power” and saying it Loud and Clear'.
Since 2005, the UK has witnessed an explosive growth of over 4200% (2005-2007) in dance schools offering pole dance as a form of fitness. In 2008 Pole Passion received accreditation for our pole dance instructor training programmes making pole dance fitness officially recognised accredited fitness programmes with Skills Active and the Register of Exercise Professionals. Our training courses in pole fitness now offer 16CPD points per course (32CPD points in total) which is the highest accreditation within the Pole Fitness industry. Miss Pole Dance events have, we believe, been instrumental in our success in changing public perception.
