Scoring Criteria
All Categories

Set out into three areas

1. PRESENTATION (Max 10 POINTS)

(half points can be awarded)

• Personality – the manner, enthusiasm, confidence and general character of the participant (2)

• Interaction – how they engage the audience and judges (2)

• Originality – level of individuality during choreography compared to other participants (2)

• Costume & props – look and suitability (& safety) of the outfit and props with routine (2)

• Stage presence (2)

2. ARTISTIC PERFORMANCE (Max 10 POINTS)

(half points can be awarded)

• Musicality – musical interpretation and connection of music to moves (2)

• Timing and flow (2)

• Choreography - choice of tricks and transitions (2)

• Story - does the routine tell their story (2)

• Poise & balance, on and off poles (2)

3. TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE (Max 15 POINTS)

(half points can be awarded)

• Technical ability 

Tricks – difficulty and control

Combinations - difficulty and control

Transitions – difficulty and control

Floor work – difficulty and control

(Doubles & Group CATEGORIES  only)

Synychronicity - timing

(Doubles & Groups only)

Synergy and connection

(10 POINTS)

• Full use of stage and poles - depth and height, in all directions (1)

• Diversity – range of tricks, transitions and floor moves (1)

• Flexibility – range of flexibility in back and legs during all moves (1)

• Lines and extension (1)

• Physical endurance and strength (1)

 

DEDUCTIONS OR DISQUALIFICATION 

1 point = Minor  up to 5 points = Major OR Disqualification

Reasons for deductions 

Falling

Slipping / tripping

Incorrect performance length

Leading to exposure of breasts / genitals  - - Costume malfunction

or making the costume unsafe

Costume removal and change is accepted during a performance however inappropriate striptease

and or sexual gestures are forbidden as is Inappropriate facial, body or hand gestures

This judges information is prepared as a result of the judge's observations at the time of the live presentation

There will be 5 judges and 2 adjudicators 

In the event of a tie the award will go to the highest Technical Performance winner if that score is the same it will go to the highest Presentation winner
