Donna Gant
I started poling for fitness 8 years ago as I wanted to get in shape after having my 2ND child and I haven't look back since. I have worked hard with my business partner Ruth Townsend to set up a successful pole dance school in the centre of Leicester called Pole Position Tuition and have taught at least 10,000 ladies and opened there eyes to another side of pole dancing.
I took part in Miss Pole Dance UK in 2006 in Newquay and was so thrilled to have been a finalist and was placed 5th.
In 2007 I was asked to open the Pole Diva's competition as I have a very different approach to poling and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
2008 was a great year for me as I entered the doubles category for Miss Pole Dance UK Professional in Scala London with my dance partner Kerry Blunt and took home the winning doubles title. I also started to train on the aerial tissues (better known as silks) and I am progressing at a steady pace. Currently we are setting up my first Master Class on spin techniques on the static poles as this is where I am best known, for my unique style. I am thrilled to be invited and to take on the role of a judge this year as this is something I personally have wanted to do since I started competing.
