POLE PASSION PRESENTS MISS POLE DANCE UK 2011
Pole Passion is launching the search for a brand new super star to take the sparkling crown of Miss Pole
Dance UK 2011. The search is on for a new national professional champion and
this year Pole Passion will be bringing the hottest, most talented and acrobatic
pole performers all in one place with the champion going on to represent the
UK at the world championships in Budapest in October. The show will
be taking place in the beautiful beach town of Brighton on the 25th June at the
stunning seafront venue Concorde 2.
Pole Passion, a Brighton based fitness and Pole Dance training provider, has been hosting the National Miss Pole
Dance UK Championships for the last 6 years and this time the team at Pole Passion are planning a more intimate, glamorous and sexy event, incorporating local talent and businesses. This year the theme is pure old fashioned showgirl glamour and the event will be
kicking off at 1pm with the Pole Dancers volley ball match on the beach, oposite the Concorde2 venue, headed by Maxine Couzens (Betts) the current Miss Pole Dance UK champion- Yes... pole dancers are multi talented too or are they??
There will be beautiful ‘winged angels’ to welcome guests all day too
The main venue stage doors will open at 6pm followed by a sexy lingerie fashion show staged by Brighton boutique Ouh La La at 7.15pm
as well as a burlesque hoops performances by Deb Riley.
Opening show act from the London Urban Dance Group and a routine on
the pole by comedy theatre group Spy Monkeys from 7.30pm including Boy Burlesque too during the evening.
The main championships will kick off at approximately 7.30pm with performances from the nine
singles followed by the doubles category, showcasing Olympic style routines with
the best in the UK battling it out for a place representing their country in the
World Pole Sport and Fitness Championships in Budapest October 2011.
Pole Passion Managing Director, head judge and organiser Kay Penney is hoping this
year’s event will be the best so far in its 6 years History. She said “This year Miss Pole Dance
UK is going to be super glamorous. I want it to be very show girl and artistic.
Pole Passion has worked so hard to bring pole dancing into the main stream fitness industry since 2003,
with the competition being just one of the many events they hold every year
Demonstrating the beautiful art form and expression of dance, even Sky's Got 2 Dance show is interested in the girls this year.
Our competitors are professional athletes of remarkable grace and strength and train extremely hard. They really are amazing to watch – this year
we will see yet again, some jaw dropping performances.”
“We also have some of our burlesque dancers to do performances for fun to celebrate the recently received
REP’s accreditation burlesque teacher training courses – the first in the world of its kind! We have even managed to squeeze in a special appearance by the Mr Pole Fitness UK Champion 2009.”
During the afternoon, weather permitting, outside on the beach, there will also be pole fitness demonstrations on the
portable R-Poles, Pimms on the beach, as well as professional photo shoots inside
and outside for all to participate in – on or off the pole!! Guests will also be invited to purchase their very own professional photos on the day
There will be lots of experts on hand offering training information and
advice from pole Industry leaders, instructors and students as well as pole
essentials and merchandise on sale, including grips, industry magazines, clothing, bags and pole accessories
Beautiful jewellery by local designer Electra on sale too.
